David Dunn Elected to Council

David Dunn addresses the crowd at his circuit office's Grand Opening

David J. Dunn, Jr., Circuit Public Defender for the Lookout Mountain judicial district, has been elected by his peers to replace retiring Council Member Natasha Perdew-Silas, whose two-year term as the eleventh council member (a position which legislation stipulates must be held by a circuit public defender) has ended. A graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, Dunn has twenty-two years of experience in the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit: first as an Assistant DA, then in private practice and now as a public defender. This experience makes him uniquely qualified for his job as Circuit Public Defender. Dunn is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality defender system for the state's poor and will bring to the council the perspective of those out in the field working to make Georgia's state wide public defender system a success.
