Personnel Changes in Court Services Division
Atlanta - The Georgia Public Defender Standards Council (GPDSC) is pleased to announce that on February 1, 2007, Jan Hankins, formerly the Director of the Metro Conflict Defender Office in Atlanta, will become the Director of Complex Litigation for the Court Services Division. Mrs. Hankins will be responsible for representing clients charged with major crimes who cannot be represented by the Circuit Public Defender or Dedicated Conflict Offices because of a conflict of interest. Her office will be located at GPDSC’s Central Office in Atlanta although her caseload responsibilities will be state-wide.
GPDSC is also pleased to announce that Mr. Bentley Adams has accepted the position of Director of the Metro Conflict Defender Office in Atlanta. Mr. Adams was previously the Circuit Public Defender for the Conasauga Judicial Circuit. Mr. Adams will bring an exotic flavor to the Metro Conflict Office having served as a Public Defender in American Samoa prior to joining GPDSC. Mr. Adams will assume his duties in the Metro Office on February 1st.
